Where donations go
In 2015, The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada granted over 1,000 wishes to children aged between 3 and 17 years old living with a life-threatening illness.
1,000 wishes a year, that’s over three wishes a day! Each is a unique experience, as unique as each wish child...
3 wishes a day, like those of Chelsey-Ann, Eric and Craig.
These very special wishes give children something to look forward to as they go through difficult times. The anticipation of a wish often helps them bear one more painful treatment, one more pill or one more day spent in the hospital while their friends are playing outside.
A wish for a child is a lot more than just an opportunity to dream up something that will make them happy; a wish can bring joy and give strength and in certain cases, it provides a renewed self-esteem. It gives families a break and leaves them with memories to cherish. The wish can give a second wind to these children and their families.
